We are excited to announce that we now offer Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) as part of our clinical services! But what exactly is it, and how is it different from a regular massage?

    What is the Lymphatic System?

The lymphatic system is a vital part of your immune system. It's a network of tissues and organs that help rid the body of toxins, waste, and other unwanted materials. Unlike the circulatory system, which has the heart to pump blood, the lymphatic system relies on movement and pressure to circulate fluid.

    How MLD Works

MLD is a very gentle, rhythmic massage technique designed to stimulate the flow of lymph fluid. It uses light, skin-stretching strokes to encourage the fluid to move towards the lymph nodes, where it can be filtered and drained.

    • Post-Surgery Recovery: MLD is highly effective at reducing swelling and bruising after surgery.
    • Managing Lymphedema: It is a primary treatment for managing chronic swelling.
    • Immune Support: By encouraging the removal of waste products, MLD can help support overall immune function.
    • Detoxification: It's a great way to help the body "flush out" and feel revitalized.
